Dear Parents, Guardians and Students:
Welcome to The Shepherd’s Academy, and to the 2017/2018 school year. This school year is the beginning of our tenth anniversary as an institution providing a challenging education program. Indeed we have come a long way! Thanks to the Almighty Father for His grace and provision.
For 2016/2017 there were successes in many areas especially with the Primary School Examinations. Every one of our students achieved a passing grade and the school was first place for Cayo District. The school has always had 100% passes for the past eight years that we have sat the exams. We had students in the top twenty-five for the country as well as in the top ten for the Cayo District. There were students who were recognized for achieving 100% passes in different individual subjects. This is truly a testament to our motto “Celebrating Success - Every Child Matters”.
Like everything else we experienced challenges that are being reviewed to manage them and continue to maintain our high standards. A "student pledge" has been instituted to manage some areas that students need improvement. This pledge will require both the student's and parent's signature as a buy in for the improvement of each student.
This coming year we are excited as we will commence with preliminary studies for opening a high school. Look out for progress reports.
Education is a collaborative effort by all stakeholders: the institution, teacher, parent and student. Therefore we invite everyone to get involved and support the institution to help every student learn and grow in a caring and safe environment. We continue to press on with our mission to provide the best education possible by providing a program of academic excellence inclusive of biblical truth to mold and develop our future leaders.
Don’t forget EDUCATION is everyone’s business.
